The Full

Seriously, you're still reading? Fine.

M.M. Chouinard's psychology research focuses on how children learn, especially through interactions with others. This work has been published in journal articles, book chapters, and a monograph

When she's not researching or writing, M.M. Chouinard is probably unleashing her visual creativity--onto her nails. She's owner and operator of Lacquer Or Leave Her!, a nail polish and nail art blog. Or, she might be working on her family genealogy--she recently managed to trace, and document, one of her ancestral lines back to Charlemagne (which may or may not explain her passionate relationship with French cheeses). She also loves coffee, chocolate, paper crafts, bullet journaling, tarot cards, anything to do with Halloween or zombie apocalypses, and, in small doses, tomfoolery and shenanigans.

No matter what she's doing, you'll find her surrounded by four cats and a dog--and her husband, who, in addition to being her biggest fan, technically keeps her from being a crazy cat lady.

(And if that's not enough info, check out these ten things she wants her readers to know about her.)

If you're looking for something to read while you're waiting for her next book to come out, here's what she's reading.

Elevator Pitch

M.M. Chouinard's first fiction story was published in her local paper when she was eight, and she fell in love with Agatha Christie novels not long after. While pursuing a Ph.D in psychology and helping to found the first U.S. research university of the new millenium, the stories kept rattling around inside her skull, demanding to come out. For sanity's sake, she released them.

Log Line

M.M. Chouinard writes crime fiction (including suspense, procedurals, and cozies), and women's fiction.
